It seems that Sony does not intend to do more Spider movies
Thomas Stanley Holland (birthed 1 June 1996) is an English actor. A grad of the BRIT Institution for Executing Arts and Innovation in London, he started his acting career on London phase in the title role of Billy Elliot the Music in the West End theater from 2008 to 2010. He after that starred in the calamity film The Impossible (2012), for which he got a London Film Critics Circle Honor for Young British Entertainer of the Year. Holland attained international fame for representing Spider-Man in the Marvel Cinematic Cosmos superhero films, beginning with Captain America: Civil War (2016). In 2017, Holland won the BAFTA Climbing Celebrity Honor, at 20-years-old, the second-youngest recipient at the time.
Yesterday, Amy Pascal, producer of the films of Spider-Man, assured that a new trilogy of this character with Tom Holland as the main actor was already under development. However, A new report seems to indicate that Sony does not intend to do this a reality.
According to the sources close to The Hollywood Reporter, Sony still does not have any kind of official plan related to the future of Spider-Man after the premiere of No Way Home. This was what was commented about:
Information from Sony Pictures indicates that, although the study relationship with Kevin Face, and Tom Holland is very solid, and they hope to continue working together, there are not really official plans to make a new trilogy.
Along with this, Tom Holland, who has always been very vocal about him in Marvel's films, he has not commented something about the future of him as Spider-Man. Recall that a couple of weeks ago, an interview was announced where the actor mentioned that he was ready to abandon that character and give him the space of him to thousands of morals.
At the moment there is no something clear. While it is clear that many Disney and Sony executives want to continue with this franchise, It seems that everything will depend on the success of the ticket office that has No Way Home. On related topics, here you can know the statements of Pascal. Similarly, here is the new trailer of this movie.
Editor's note:
Considering the relationship between Disney and Sony, this change of course does not sound so rare. However, it is clear that the future of Spider-Man is not yet defined. Hopefully once already premiered No Way Home, we have a clear answer to this issue.
